It's only the start of November but the K-pop scene is already packed with amazing comebacks, debuts and releases. This week also stirred up mixed emotions upon the news of disbandment.

Latest K-pop Releases, Comebacks, Events, and More That You Might Have Missed:

1. Somi Releases First Full-Length Album 'XOXO'

On October 30, soloist Jeon Somi returned on stage with her first full-length album, "XOXO."

The album was dropped only three months after the female singer released "Dumb Dumb," a pre-release single released ahead of her official comeback.

Thanks to fans' support, the music video for 'XOXO' also broke 30 million views on YouTube at 2:13 pm as of November 2, just three days after it was released and eventually broke his personal record.

2. The Boyz Drops New EP 'MAVERICK'

On November 1, boy band The Boyz kicked off with their new EP “MAVERICK."

The title track is a hip-hop song that includes messages on how each member is confident about finding a special self inside them.

The new EP features two other songs, titled “Hypnotized” and “Russian Roulette.”

3. 2AM Releases 'Should Have Known' from 'Ballad 21 F/W'

Ballad Idol group 2AM, who returned as a complete group after seven years, proudly introduced the new album, saying, "It is a ballad collection that will warm the heart," adding, "Through this album, I want to imprint one genre called 2AM in the public mind."

The album, "Ballad 2021 F/W," contains a total of five songs, including double title songs "No Good in Good-Bye" and "Should've known," as well as "I can't," "Propose," and member Jung Jinwoon's self-composed song "Always Me."

4. Super Junior-D&E Marks 10th Debut Anniversary First Full Album 'COUNTDOWN'

The sub-unit Super Junior-D&E will mark their 10th anniversary with their first full-length album.

On November 2, Super Junior-D&E released all the songs of the first full-length album "COUNTDOWN" and the music video of the title song "ZERO" through various music sites.

Super Junior-D&E is expected to show a new beginning based on the perfect teamwork that has been accumulated over the past decade through this album.

This album includes the title songs "ZERO" written and composed by Donghae himself, "Beautiful Liar," "Faraway," "Feel That Feelin," "La La La," "Have a Nice Day," "Muse," "Share My Love" and "Home."

5. SM Artists Celebrate Halloween at the SM Wonderland 2021

On Oct. 31, SM Entertainment artists celebrated Halloween at the annual "SMTOWN Wonderland 2021."

From "Squid Game"-inspired outfits, DC-inspired costumes and more, aespa Winter, Super Junior Siwon, SHINee Onew, NCT Chenle, and more drew the attention with their spooky and creative cosplays.

6. LOVELYZ Disbandment

On November 1, 2021, Woollim Entertainment announced LOVELYZ are disbanding on November 16, following contract expiration.

Members Yoo Jiae, Seo Jisoo, Lee Mijoo, Kei, JIN, Ryu Sujeong and Jeong Yein decided not to renew their contract with the company. BabySoul renewed hers and will promote individually in the future.

7. JYP Girl Group Rookie Logo + Plagiarism Issue

IN THE LOOP: Somi's 'XOXO,' SM Wonderland 2021, LOVELYZ Disbandment & More of Latest K-pop Releases This Week

On November 1, JYP Entertainment posted the logo of its new girl group, set to debut in February 2022.

The logo shown contains the alphabet "X," slowly turning into "H" in a black background, and became a logo that is an amalgamation of the two letters.

However, fans were skeptical about the logo due to its uncanny resemblance to the MONSTA X logo, released in 2019.

In response, K-pop fans accused the company of plagiarizing the latter's group logo; but to date, JYP is yet to release an official position about it.
