These 15 K-Pop Idols Have Visuals Straight Out of a Novel
Idol Champ, the official voting application for the MBC M music program "Show Champion," recently held a poll asking users to select the K-pop idol with visuals straight out of a novel. Here are the top fifteen!
From October 16 to October 31, Idol Champ held a poll collaborating with Joylada, a Thai webtoon application, to determine which K-pop idols have visuals straight out of a novel. The winner of the poll will win an advertisement in Thailand through the Joylada application. In addition, they will also win news PR.
1. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo won first place with 33.77% of the total votes. Hailed as the epitome of the Korean beauty standard and K-pop's "Face Genius," it is no surprise that this male idol won first place. As he won the top spot, Cha Eun Woo will have advertisements in Thailand with his face!
2. EXO Sehun
Sehun, EXO's lead dancer, lead rapper, visual, and maknae, ranked in second place with 30.94% of the total votes. Sehun's visuals are extremely popular with the South Korean public, with many admiring his big eyes and sharp jaw.
3. GOT7 Mark
GOT7's lead rapper and visual Mark ranked third, securing 10.49% of the total votes. He is GOT7's original visual is often praised for his v-shaped jaw, big eyes, and full lips.
4. BTS Jin
Jin, BTS's sub-vocalist and visual, ranked fourth, amassing 6.19% of the total votes. Jin is considered a top-tier visual in Korea. His looks are praised in South Korea and worldwide, which has earned Jin the nickname "Worldwide Handsome." One of his charms points is plump lips.
5. Stray Kids Lee Know
Stray Kids' dancer, vocalist, and rapper Lee Know ranked fifth with 5.35% of the total votes. While Lee Know is not an official visual, many STAYs consider him one of the group's unofficial visuals. The idol has a tiny face and large doe-like eyes that many love.
6. NCT Jaehyun
Jaehyun, the main vocalist, lead dancer, sub-rapper, visual of NCT 127, ranked in sixth place with 4.42% of the votes cast. Jaehyun has garnered a huge fan base thanks to his prince-like visuals. In addition, Jaehyun can be both cute and sexy, making him an expert in several concepts.
7. BLACKPINK Jisoo
BLACKPINK's lead vocalist and visual Jisoo ranked in seventh place, making her the highest-ranking female idol. She amassed 3.06% of the votes. Jisoo is known for her high facial symmetry and is often praised as the epitome of traditional South Korean beauty.
8. TXT Soobin
Soobin, TXT's leader, vocalist, rapper, and dancer, ranked eighth with 1.75% of the total votes. While TXT does not have any official visuals, people believe that Soobin would hold that title if they did. Korean media outlets often call him "flower boy" thanks to his stunning visuals and charisma.
9. CIX Bae Jinyoung
CIX's lead vocalist, dancer, center, and face of the group, Bae Jinyoung, ranked ninth with 1.14% of the votes. Though he is not the official visual of the group, people often consider him CIX's unofficial visual. During his time with Wanna One, Bae Jinyoung went viral when it was discovered that his face was so small that a single square of toilet paper covers his whole face.
10. ENHYPEN Sunghoon
ENHYPEN member Sunghoon ranked in tenth place with 0.82% of the total votes cast. Known as ENHYPEN's "Ice King" due to his past career as a professional figure skater, Sunghoon is often praised for his full lips and slim nose.
11. Red Velvet Irene
Irene, Red Velvet's leader, main rapper, lead dancer, sub-vocalist, visual, and center, ranked in 11th place with 0.72% of the votes cast. Irene is often praised as the epitome of the female Korean beauty standard and is dubbed as a face genius. Whenever female K-pop visuals are mentioned, Irene is always mentioned!
12. SEVENTEEN Mingyu
SEVENTEEN's lead rapper, sub-vocalist, the face of the group, and visual ranked in 12th place with 0.66% of the votes. Mingyu has visuals that are admired both in the East and West. Compared to the other official visual members of the group, Mingyu stands out due to his tan skin and masculine look.
13. aespa Karina
Karina, aespa's leader, main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, and face of the group, ranked in 13th place with 0.27% of the votes. Though she is not the official visual of the group, Karina has been praised for CG-like visuals since her debut. She has a tiny face, large eyes, and full lips.
14. fromis_9 Lee Nakyung
fromis_9's lead dancer, vocalist, rapper, and visual Lee Nakyung ranked in 14th place with 0.17% of the votes. This female idol is often praised for her fairy-like visuals. She has a small and symmetric face and a petite and slim figure, which is well-loved in South Korea.
15. ITZY Yuna
Yuna, ITZYZ's lead rapper, lead dancer, sub-vocalist, visual, and maknae, ranked in 15th place with 0.16% of the votes. The idol is known for her small face and large, doe-like eyes. She is also known for her tiny waist and amazing figure. Yuna is often considered one of the top visuals of the fourth generation.
