NMIXX has officially confirmed a May 11 comeback with their fifth mini album "Heavy Serenade," led by a title track of the same name and preceded by the pre-release song "Crescendo."
JYP Entertainment announced that NMIXX will return with "Heavy Serenade" on May 11 at 6 p.m. KST, marking the group's first comeback of 2026. The project is described as the group's fifth mini album, with the title track "Heavy Serenade" set to drop alongside its music video on the same day.
According to Allkpop, the group is also expected to hold a countdown live broadcast with fans on May 11 in the hours leading up to the release.
Ahead of the main comeback, NMIXX will unveil a pre-release track titled "Crescendo," which is included on the mini album. The song is scheduled to arrive about two weeks before "Heavy Serenade," serving as an early look at the group's new sound and concept for this era.
A music video teaser for "Crescendo" is planned ahead of its release, followed by the full music video shortly after, building momentum for the May 11 drop.
To support the comeback, NMIXX's official channels have shared a detailed teaser schedule outlining multiple content releases in the weeks leading up to the album. The promotional rollout includes an album trailer, track list reveal, motion posters, and several rounds of concept photos, Khan Sports reported.
Additional preview content, such as highlight medleys and special visual clips, will give fans snippets of the new songs and a clearer view of the overarching theme of "Heavy Serenade."
The comeback will also highlight NMIXX's signature "MIXX pop" sound, which blends contrasting genres and tempos in a single track to showcase the members' strong vocals and performance skills.
The group is expected to continue expanding its fantasy-like storyline through music videos and visual teasers, giving fans more clues about the world-building behind "Heavy Serenade" and "Crescendo," as per Chosun.
