BTS and Coldplay to Perform Collab 'My Universe' at 2021 American Music Awards

BTS and Coldplay are confirmed to perform their collaboration song "My Universe" at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs). The Bangtan Boys recently left South Korea to prepare for the event in Los Angeles.

The American Music Awards - also referred to as AMAs - is a prestigious music awards ceremony in the United States.

The 2021 American Music Awards announced through the official SNS on November 17 that BTS and Coldplay would present a performance at the awards ceremony.

The two artists will perform a live performance of their collaboration song "My Universe," which was released on September 24, at the awards ceremony.

It is noteworthy that this is Coldplay's comeback on the stage of American Music Awards after six years since the "Adventure of a Lifetime" fever in 2015.

"My Universe" has taken high ranking spots on various global music charts since its release.
Aside from the band Coldplay, BTS will also perform with Megan Thee Stallion with their remix version of "Butter."

BTS has been nominated for the American Music Awards for four consecutive years from 2018 until now. In this year's ceremony, the septet has been nominated for "Artist of the Year," "Favorite Pop Duo/Group," and "Favorite Pop Song."

BTS Arrives Safely in Los Angeles

BTS arrived in Los Angeles, USA on November 17 (EST) for the 2021 AMA and their face-to-face concert, which will be held after two years since the COVID-19 began and stopped all face-to-face events.

When the news of their flight to L.A. came out, ARMYs expressed their excitement and well wishes for BTS to have a safe flight, with the hashtag "#haveasafeflightBTS" that trended on Twitter for prolonged hours.

BTS will hold the "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - LA" concert on November 27-28, while on December 1-2 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, USA.

Tickets are sold out early and ARMYs all over the world are buying the tickets even if they're worth thousands of dollars.

BTS departed to Los Angeles Airport aboard a Korean airplane from Incheon International airport. Over 100 fans gathered together at the airport arrival hall to see the boys in the flesh. They waited at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, where flights from Korea arrive.

However, an official from the Los Angeles airport stated that the members used a different terminal to exit the airport because of the safety issues that could arise during the boys' arrival.

The 2021 AMAs will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, USA on November 21 at 8 in the evening, and will broadcast live on the American television channel ABC.

The confirmed performers for this year's American Music Awards are BTS, Coldplay, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, and Olivia Rodrigo.
