TWICE Jeongyeon Responds to Sister Gong Seung Yeon's Speech

On November 26, Gong Seung Yeon won the "Best New Actress" award for her movie "Aloners" during the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards. As she accepted her award with tears of joy, she jokingly commented "To be honest, I was hoping yesterday that I might win, so I tried quickly preparing an acceptance speech. But my younger sister laughed at me, so I thought, 'Oh, I must have gone overboard.' If I'd known that I was going to win... I should have properly prepared a speech!"

Then, after the ceremony, Jeongyeon posted in TWICE's official Instagram account her love for her Unnie (older sister in Korean) and she made a sweet clarification. She also shared a video of herself in front of the TV screen while watching the awards show at home, along with the video where Gong Seung Yeon accepts her award. Jeongyeon is spotted rising her fist in excitement and support for her older sister.

In the caption, Jeongyeon wrote, "My unnie, I wasn't laughing at you. On the inside, I actually expected you to win!!!! My cool older sister, congratulations, I'm so happy for you, and I'm rooting for you to meet more great projects in the future and get rich!!!!!! I love you so much. When we meet later, I'll hug you."

This proves that TWICE Jeongyeon has a pure heart as she can be seen having a close relationship with her sisters and her fellow TWICE members.

TWICE Jeongyeon Felt Nervous To Come Back After her Hiatus, Having Debut Feels

TWICE Jeongyeon previously suffered from a herniated disc in her neck. Soon after, JYP Entertainment, TWICE's management agency, announced that the singer had been diagnosed with anxiety disorder as well. This led to a temporary hiatus from the group's activities for "I CAN'T STOP ME."

Before the start of her hiatus, Jeongyeon promised to return after being well rested. Then she came back to join her fellow members in the promotional activities of "Alcohol-Free."

In the latest interview with YouTube channel odg where she looked back on her career, Jeongyeon shared the period of her life where she was only a teenager and what it felt like to be back on the stage and performing once again.

While they were reviewing the group's performance of "I CAN'T STOP ME," Jeongyeon explained that she needs to sit it out because of her health.

Then, they proceeded to watch TWICE's "Alcohol-Free" comeback, this is when Jeongyeon made her much awaited return. She shared that she was very nervous before their performance and it was the same as her debut stage.

"This 'Alcohol-Free' was my comeback stage in a few months. It was like that, and I was terribly nervous. It made me feel as nervous as my debut stage." - Jeongyeon

However, unlike her debut, her comeback in "Alcohol-Free" was way easier because her years as an idol made a big difference. She immediately regained her confidence when she started performing once again.
