IVE Jang Wonyoung Criticized for 'Poor' Performance on Music Show
On December 3, IVE performed their debut song "ELEVEN" on the KBS music program "ELEVEN." Thanks to their all-visual lineup, the group earned praise for their shining visuals, with many having been interested in the group even before their debut.
However, one member has earned criticism for her alleged poor performance on the show. And that member is Jang Wonyoung.

Several viewers pointed out that when performing the choreography, Jang Wonyoung would not move with the same energy and force as her members during parts that required lots of hair movements.
In addition, during moves where she needed to turn her head in a different direction, the idol was seen disregarding the action altogether to avoid messing her hair up.
In other parts of the choreography, Jang Wonyoung was also criticized for not being in sync with her members, affecting the group's overall performance.

After seeing this video, some are accusing the idol of having "celebrity disease". Many people claimed that she refused to do the moves with her members not to be captured in an unflattering manner. Others believed she was "afraid of appearing ugly" and "afraid of messing up her hair" during the performance. Meanwhile, others called her lazy for her numerous choreography mistakes.
However, some defended the Jang Wonyoung. Some speculated that she was trying not to mess up her hair because she had no time to get it fixed after the stage. This is because she is performing on "Music Bank" and working as one of the hosts. People believe she is making sure her retouching after the stage is as minimal as possible to get to her duties as a host on time.

Some comments concerning Jang Wonyoung's performance on stage include, "Maybe she just doesn't have time to fix her hair, and that's why she is like that," "Let's not even mention how she didn't flip her hair. She can't even dance properly," "It's like she is always trying to keep herself pretty and that's why she dances like that," "Her neck is stiff. She isn't flexible at all," and "If you are on stage, dance your best. This is disappointing."

To promote IVE's debut, Starship Entertainment held a face-to-face debut showcase on the same day of the single album's release. The showcase was broadcast to IVE's YouTube channel.
