On Dec. 10, Twitter unveiled its "2021 Top K-pop Artist Worldwide" list, which ranks Korean singers with the most tweets this year. From BTS and BLACKPINK to EXO and ATEEZ, idol groups from different generations entered the list.

BTS is the Most Tweeted K-pop Artist Worldwide in 2021

Taking the No. 1 spot on the list is the 21st-century pop icon BTS (@BTS_twt). This is the fifth consecutive year in which the septet has become the most-tweeted K-pop artist.

BTS was also announced as the No. 1 most tweeted person worldwide this year. This marks their fifth year in a row to be the person with the most tweets as well.

Moreover, the "Butter" singers ranked first, third and fifth on the "World's Most Retweeted Tweet" list and ranked second in the "World's Most Liked Tweet" list.

In particular, the No. 1 most retweeted tweet worldwide is BTS' post that contains the hashtags "#StopAsianHate" and "#StopAAPIHate." The third-most retweeted post is Billboard's announcement that BTS' "Butter" remained at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks.

And, the fifth-most retweeted post is from Grammy Awards (@Recording Acad) when they announced the news of BTS' solo performance at the awards show.

Meanwhile, BTS' tweet that was the second-most liked in the world this 2021 is the one containing a photo of BTS member Jungkook where he flaunts his blonde hair. It has over 3.2 million likes.

NCT, EXO and SEVENTEEN are the among the Most Tweeted Male K-pop Artists Worldwide in 2021

Taking second place on the list of most tweeted K-pop artists in the world is NCT (@NCTsmtown). The boy group and its sub-units were active in the K-pop scene this year as they released new albums and repackaged albums.

With their new works, NCT Dream and NCT 127 made history as they became new million-seller groups. On Dec. 10, NCT made a comeback as a whole with their third album "Universe."

Ranking third this year is EXO (@weareoneEXO), who released a special album, entitled "Don't Fight the Feeling," this June. The album is EXO's first music release as a full group in two years and is their latest million-seller work.

Another male K-pop artist on the list is SEVENTEEN (@pledis_17), who released two Korean albums this year that both sold over one million copies. The 13-member boy group secured No. 7 on the list.

BLACKPINK is the Most Tweeted Female K-pop Artist in the World in 2021

Among the top 10 K-pop artists with the most tweets recorded, BLACKPINK is not just the only girl group but is the only female artist to enter the list.

TREASURE, ENHYPEN, TXT and More are the Most Tweeted Fourth-Generation K-pop Artist Worldwide in 2021

Five fourth-generation idol groups were able to enter this year's list of most tweeted K-pop artists. Among them, TREASURE (@treasuremembers) has the highest rank as they claimed the No. 5 spot.

ENHYPEN (@ENHYPEN_members), who recently earned a "million-seller" title with their first full album "DIMENSION: DILEMMA," secured the No. 6 position.

While TXT (@TXT_members) ranked No. 8, ATEEZ (@ATEEZofficial) and Stray Kids (@Stray_Kids) landed at Nos. 9 and 10 respectively.
