SEVENTEEN Reportedly Woozi to Release First Solo Mixtape in January 2022
According to an exclusive report made by media outlet Star News' on December 13 KST, SEVENTEEN member Woozi will reportedly be making his solo debut through the release of his very own first solo mixtape in early January of next year.
Woozi, who is a producer and the vocal team leader of SEVENTEEN, has been pioneering his own music color and serving as a key producer when it comes to the group's musicality.
With that, Woozi is at the center of SEVENTEEN's endless growth by creating such great music that helped set new records for the group's each album release, such that the 13-member group surpassed a cumulative album sales of 10.13 million copies sold in South Korea alone in the six years and six months of their promotions.

At the recently held 2021 Asia Artist Awards back on December 2, Woozi also received the award for Best Producer, joining representative producers of K-Pop from the past years such as HYBE's founder and chairman Bang Si Hyuk, Big Hit Music's in-house producer Pdogg, and former BLOCK B member Zico, as the fourth-ever receiver of the award.

Not only that, but his win also made him the youngest winner of the Best Producer award in the history of the Asia Artist Awards, with Bang Si Hyuk winning the award at 45 years old; Pdogg at 36 years old; Zico at 28 years old; and now, Woozi at 26 years old in Korean age.
The host of the awards ceremony, IVE's Jang Wonyoung, said, "Woozi has been participating in the albums of SEVENTEEN as its writer, composer, and producer, setting incredible records album after album. He is more than just a singer, proving his skills as a musician and mesmerizing K-Pop fans."

Back in October, SEVENTEEN released their ninth mini-album, "Attacca," featuring their title track "Rock With You." The album went on to become SEVENTEEN's first album to surpass two million copies sold, making them a double-million seller for a single album.
More recently, SEVENTEEN dropped their special Japanese single called "Power of Love" on December 8.
