NCT's Third Full-Album 'UNIVERSE' Earns 'Million-Seller' Title After Surpassing 1.7 Million Pre-Order Copies

On December 14 KST, NCT's upcoming third full-album, "UNIVERSE," had reportedly exceeded more than 1.7 million copies in pre-order figures, recording a total of 1,702,142 pre-orders as of December 13, and earning NCT another "million-seller" title following their second full-album "Resonance," which was released back in 2020.

NCT's upcoming album will be featuring two title tracks, "Beautiful" and "Universe (Let's Play Ball)," along with 10 other tracks on the album called "New Axis," "Earthquake," "OK!," "Birthday Party," "Know Now," "Dreaming," "Round&Round," "Miracle," "Vroom," "Sweet Dream," and "Goodnight."

According to reports, one of their title songs, "Beautiful," will be a pop ballad track that combines the sound of piano and a band. Regarding the lyrics, it will contain a message for those who are tired and struggling with life, to not forget that they are the only and special existence in the world, and to keep chasing after their dreams.

It is said that NCT members Johnny, Taeyong, Mark, Hendery, and Jeno participated in writing the rap verse for the song, adding to its sincerity.

While "Universe (Let's Play Ball)," which is already released ahead of the album's release and performed by select NCT members Mark, Doyoung, Xiaojun, Jeno, Jungwoo, Jaemin, Haechan, Shotaro, and Yangyang, is an R&B dance track that features a catchy hook and hip-hop base.

Member Mark had also participated in writing the rap for the song, while KENZIE worked on the song's composition and lyrics.

NCT to Hold Live Countdown Broadcast for 'UNIVERSE' Album Release

Meanwhile, NCT (also dubbed as NCT 2021) features the members of NCT units NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WayV. Ahead of the release of their "UNIVERSE" album, the group will be holding a live broadcast to commemorate their comeback called "NCT UNIVERSE Countdown Live."

The countdown live will be broadcasted through NCT's official Youtube channel on December 14 at 4:30pm KST, where they will introduce the upcoming album, the production, and the stories behind each song.

Following their countdown live, "UNIVERSE" will be released on various music platforms at 6pm KST on the same day, and will release the music video for their title track "Beautiful" through their official channels.
