H1-KEY's debut is drawing near, and they finally announced their debut date along with a schedule leading up to their album's release.

H1-KEY Announces Debut Date and Releases Schedule for Single Album 'Athletic Girl'

At midnight on December 21 KST, Grand Line Group (GLG) finally announced the debut date of their upcoming four-member girl group, H1-KEY, through the release of a poster containing their schedule that will lead up to the release of their debut single album, "Athletic Girl."

According to GLG's announcement on H1-KEY's official social media, the group, consisting of members Seoi, Yel, Riina, and Sitala, will be making their debut on January 5 of next year.

However, prior to their debut, H1-KEY will be be releasing their concept photos from December 22 to 23, and December 27 to 28.

Following the release of their four concept photos, they will finally release the first teaser of "Athletic Girl" on January 2, 2022. Another teaser will also be shared the next day on January 3.

On January 4, H1-KEY will unveil the teaser for their music video. And finally, on January 5 at 6pm KST, H1-KEY will release their "Athletic Girl" album along with the music video of their title track, which has yet to be announced.

In addition to the schedule, H1-KEY also released a 19-second video featuring their official logo, which left a strong impression with its addicting beat. According to GLG, the background music in the video was produced by Lee Hae Sol, the composer who arranged TWICE's song "Alcohol-Free."

With H1-KEY's debut set in stone, many are anticipating what kind of concept and music H1-KEY, who aims to pursue a "confident and healthy beauty," will be presenting to the world.

Meanwhile, H1-KEY will make their debut on January 5 at 6pm KST, with "Athletic Girl" to be released on various online music sites.

H1-KEY's Sitala Draws Flak for Family's Involvement in Thailand's Politics

In other news, Thai member Sitala recently drew ire among fans after it was discovered that her family had supported the dictatorship in Thailand. In particular, Sitala's father, the late actor Sarunyu Wongkrachang, was a supporter of the military coup that took place back in 2014.

Following this revelation of her family's involvement in politics, fans quickly banded together to demand the removal of Sitala in the group's debut lineup.

With the issue gaining much attention ahead of the girl group's debut, H1-KEY's label GLG released a statement, stating that Sitala will not be removed from the group.
