IVE Jang Wonyoung's Way of Standing Causes Confusion

Since re-debuting in IVE on December 1, Jang Wonyoung has consistently garnered the attention of internet users. Her popularity cannot be denied as she remains one of the most popular female idols in the industry. After each performance, MC schedule, awards ceremony, and more, the female idol immediately trends in South Korea.

In addition to the positive posts about Jang Wonyoung, many have also expressed mixed opinions over her appearance and attitude. However, whether good or bad, there is no denying that Jang Wonyoung is trending and will always have the spotlight on her no matter where she is.

Recently, Jang Wonyoung garnered attention again, but for a reason you may not expect. A post on an online community forum titled, "Why does Jang Wonyoung stand with one leg bent when hosting?" went viral. It was soon pointed out that whenever Jang Wonyoung hosts or MCs, she stands with one leg straight and the other leg bent forward.

Some speculate that Jang Wonyoung cannot stand with both legs straight due to an injury. People theorize that she may have foot pain or a knee injury. Meanwhile, others claim she does for appearance's sake.

However, many believe Jang Wonyoung bends one of her legs in consideration of the MCs or other celebrities next to her. Due to her towering height, if Jang Wonyoung were to stand upright, she would be even taller and could potentially tower over the people next to her. This would cause everyone to focus on her height rather than the event itself.

Many believe that Jang Wonyoung does not want to overwhelm people with her height, so she sacrifices her comfort and stands with one knee bent.

Another speculation is that she may choose to bend her knee due to her wide thigh gap. By bending her knee, her figure appears fuller and curvier. If she were to stand straight, her physique would appear more straight and boxy.

Some of the comments concerning Jang Wonyoung's way of standing reads, "Because she is next to male idols, she bends her legs to not be too tall," "Isn't this the right way to stand around people who are shorter than you? She is so tall that she unconsciously bends her knees," "She is too tall," and "It is because she has a wide thigh gap. Standing upright is not flattering on her figure, so she bends her knees to make the gap look smaller."
