Big Hit Music Issues Statement Announcing BTS Suga's Full Recovery from COVID-19

Back on December 24, Big Hit Music announced through an issued statement that BTS member Suga had tested positive for COVID-19 following his return from his personal schedule in the United States.

A day later, fellow members RM and Jin had also tested positive for COVID-19, while the rest of the members, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook did not test positive as each member had not been in physical ontact with each other following the conclusion of their activities and schedules in the United States.

After a few weeks, Big Hit Music announced on January 3 KST that Suga had made a full recovery from COVID-19 after administering self-treatment and being in quarantine for the past 10 days.

"Hello, this is Big Hit Music.

We would like to inform you that BTS member Suga has made a full recovery from COVID-19, and that his quarantine has concluded as of today (January 3) at noon.

Suga, who had been receiving treatment from home for the past 10 days from Friday, December 24, is now able to return to his daily activities.

Suga had not exhibited any particular symptoms during his quarantine, and is currently recuperating while resting at home.

We would like to thank all of the fans who have shown their concern for the artist's health, as well as those in the medical field who are doing their best to overcome COVID-19.

We will continue to place the health of our artists as our top priority, and to vigilantly follow the health care guidelines.

Thank you."

Meanwhile, updates regarding RM and Jin's health or recovery have yet to be announced. However, Jin exhibited mild symptoms of COVID-19.

In other news, Suga set a new record on Spotify!

Recently on December 29, the BTS member, who also goes by his other name Agust D, had reached a new milestone by surpassing 10 million monthly listeners on the major streaming platform, Spotify.

This also means that Suga joins BTS as the only Korean male artist to record more than 10 million monthly listeners on the platform, and marks Suga as the first Korean male solo artist to do so, but the second overall solo artist.

Meanwhile, BTS has also surpassed 22.8 billion streams on Spotify, across all of the songs that they have released so far.
