Year-end awards ceremonies and music festivals are where a large number of K-pop from other companies gather, perform, and interact. During this season, many interactions between idols occur, and fans always look forward to it. At the MBC Gayo Daejejeon in 2018, a moment between BTS member V and Girls' Generation Yoona garnered viewers' attention.

When the program was at its last few minutes, idols born in the year of the Pig (born in 1995) were invited to the front to speak and welcome 2019, which is the year of the Pig. The event only has two minutes left until midnight and the VIXX members recently concluded their interviews and were preparing the countdown for the new year.
However, right behind Yoona, who was hosting the event, was BTS member Jimin. The male idol caught the attention of Yoona and informed the SNSD member that there was still one more year of the Pig idol that had not spoken yet.

After that, Yoona turned to BTS member V to confirm the idol's name. V confirmed to Yoona that an idol had not yet spoken and informed the female idol who it was.

Quickly, Yoona returned to hosting and called out the idol to give his speech. That male idol was SEVENTEEN member Joshua. He appeared happy when he heard his name called and moved to the front to give his speech. Joshua greeted Jimin and V by shaking hands and patting them as he moved forward. Many believe he did this to thank the male idols.
How Did People React to This Interaction Between K-Pop idols?
Even though it is a live broadcast and under time pressure, Yoona decided to call Joshua's name and allotted him time to give his speech, showing her flexibility and professionalism as an MC. She was praised for her personality on stage, while Jimin and V were applauded for remembering the fellow idols and not being afraid to inform Yoona of the situation.
