IVE Liz Earns Praise for Cover of IU's 'FRIDAY'

Since their debut, the members of IVE have garnered mixed reactions for their talents.

While they were initially scorned as "Jang Wonyoung and friends," the public's perception of the group is slowly changing as Starship Entertainment allows the other members of the group a chance to show their skills through covers on their YouTube channel.

IVE member Liz is the most recent member to earn the public's praise with a cover of IU's "FRIDAY." The cover was shared on IVE's official YouTube channel on January 27, 2022, and is being praised for being as "excellent as the original."

Liz was praised for her stunning vocal ability, visuals and aura that perfectly matched the song.

IU has been active in the entertainment industry for 14 years and owns an extensive music catalog. She is often considered a role model for several female junior idols due to her voice, and few dare to bravely cover her songs due to how difficult they are to sing.

IU is known for her high notes and poetic timbre, which is very difficult to pull off.

However, Liz was able to cover "FRIDAY" exceptionally smoothly. This caused people to praise her, with some saying she has honey vocals.

 And it is not just the DIVEs (IVE's fandom) that is impressed! The general public has also praised Liz's talent, with people complimenting her sweet voice and youthful, doll-like visual. She is truly worthy of the vocal title in her group!
