BLACKPINK Jisoo made his acting debut in the JTBC drama "Snowdrop," which aired from December 2021 to January this year. In the television series, she showcased her acting skills as she plays the female lead named Youngro.

Apart from being chosen to play Youngro, it turned out that BLACKPINK member Jisoo was also asked to sing a "Snowdrop" OST. The idol-turned-actress revealed this during her recent voice V Live. She also shared why she turned down the offer.

On Feb. 6, Jisoo went live on V Live's Channel+ and talked about "Snowdrop" and her fellow BLACKPINK members who gave her full support during the filming of the drama.

Jisoo said that Rosé, Lisa and Jennie wanted to come to the "Snowdrop" set but she thought it would be a distraction since it was her first time acting and she was nervous at that time. The members then asked her to tell them when she would be comfortable so they can stop by. However, they didn't get to come at the end.
BLACKPINK Jisoo then surprised fans when she revealed that she was supposed to sing an original soundtrack for her drama but she turned it down. She said that she was asked to sing the "Snowdrop" OST "Friend," which served as the opening theme song of the show.

Jisoo explained that she chose to decline the offer as she thought if the "Snowdrop" OST "Friend" came out as her song, it would be hard for the fans and viewers to concentrate on the drama. She added that she wants Youngro to be left as Youngro. The directors respected her opinion and so, Kim Hee Won ended up lending his voice to singing the track.
If BLACKPINK member Jisoo accepted to sing "Friend," it would have been her first soundtrack for a drama.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK Jisoo has recently confirmed her solo debut this year. YG Entertainment announced back in 2020 that Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo will have solo releases, following Jennie who debuted as a soloist in 2018 with her single "SOLO."

The agency also revealed at the time that they were preparing for Jisoo's solo single release, along with the solo music of Lisa and Rosé. But, since Jisoo was busy filming "Snowdrop," Rosé and Lisa went ahead in dropping their solo albums.

As a result, Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member left to make her solo debut. During the group's Jan. 25 Weverse broadcast, she didn't say much about it but she confirmed it will take place this year.
