Epik High Tablo Opens Up About Their Songs

In July 2021, Tablo opened up about the success of Epik High, the K-pop group's famous track, "Rain Song," his loneliness, and more.

He said that "Rain Song" has become the go-to music of Koreans whenever it rains in the country. The track, which is included in the album, "Pieces, Part One," was released in 2008. However, it still remains popular because of its message.

According to Tablo, "Rain Song" was written by the K-pop group while it was raining in Korea. Most of Epik High's songs were also written in this type of condition.

Tablo also talked about his song, "Try," which is dedicated to his wife and daughter. He said that when the song was released, he was dealing with a major scandal and felt that his career is over.

One of the lines in the song goes, "I'm sorry that I'm both your rain and your umbrella." Tablo said that this is how his life felt at the time. After all, he's never had long periods of peace because he's dealing with so many struggles.

At the end of the day, this became Tablo's motto. He said that there will be rainy days and cloudy days. Even if he can't stop the rain, he can protect himself and those he loves from it.

Tablo also opened up about his groupmates' struggles with mental health. He said that some people couldn't understand why they felt sad and depressed when they were making music and making huge sums of money.

However, Tablo explained that even the most successful individuals also struggle with their mental health.
