Today, February 14 (Valentines' Day!), is NCT member Jaehyun's birthday! To celebrate his special day, here are some fun facts to learn more about the birthday boy!
1. Birth Name and Legal Name

Jaehyun's birth name is Jung Jae Hyun, and he goes by Jaehyun as his stage name. However, despite being known by his birth name, Jaehyun's legal name is actually Jung Yoon Oh.
The idol changed his name in middle school because of his grandmother. Korean Hangul names usually have Chinese-Korean Hanja characters that correspond with them, but since "Hyun" does not have a Hanja character, the idol did not have a Hanja name.
His grandmother was not pleased with that, and Jaehyun changed his legal name to Jung Yoon Oh.
2. Nicknames

Besides his birth name and legal name, Jaehyun has several other nicknames he is known by. When he lived in Connecticut, he went by Jay. However, he had another English name: Jeffrey! This name was given to him by member Johnny, who claimed he looked like a Jeffrey.
His other nicknames include Casper, J, Woojae, Jaeyuk, Peach Boy, Cutie, Happy Virus and Valentine Boy!
3. Alcohol Tolerance

Out of all of the members of NCT, Jaehyun is the member with the best alcohol tolerance. During an appearance on the "O'Clocl Escape Cultwo Show," NCT was asked which member of NCT 127 is the best at drinking. It was then revealed that Jaehyun could drink three bottles of soju!
4. Bad Liar

NCT member Jaehyun has confessed that he is a lousy liar! During an appearance on "Hello Counselor" in 2018, the idol admitted that he cannot hide his feelings. Even when he tries to lie, his ears turn red, showing that he is not being honest.
At the time, NCT 127 appeared with MOMOLAND, and when Jaehyun was asked if any of the girls there matched his ideal type, the idol's ears immediately started turning red!
5. Vocal Color

Jaehyun is the only baritone vocal in NCT 127 and NCT U, while the other members are tenors. As the only baritone member, his vocal range can reach a tenor's high and a bass's low ranges. The idol's voice has been described as deep, warm and mature.
This is a stark contrast to the other vocalist of NCT, who are known for their energetic voices and high notes.
6. Taekwondo

Did you know that Jaehyun learned taekwondo when he was a kid? Not only that, the idol was able to achieve a black belt at the sport!
During a fan sign, he revealed that he loved swimming and taekwondo during his youth. He excelled in taekwondo so much that he even went to the World Taekwondo Institute twice!
7. '97 Liners

Jaehyun is part of K-pop's '97 Liners friend group. He is close friends with GOT7 Bambam and Yugyeom, BTS Jungkook. SEVENTEEN The8, Mingyu, and DK, and ASTRO Cha Eun Woo. They are so close that they are even part of a dedicated group chart.
DK revealed that they went to the same school, but at the time, they were not friends because he was too afraid to speak to Jaehyun. Why? Because he was too handsome!
8. Ideal Type

Curious about Jaehyun's ideal type? According to the idol himself, he is attracted to women with long, straight hair.
In terms of personality, he is attracted to kind people who can communicate well. Jaehyun wants to end up with someone he can depend on and is usually calm but cute.
He also likes someone who is healthy and likes sports. Jaehyun has no preference in terms of age.
