On Feb. 16, the first teaser video for IST Entertainment's upcoming boy group survival show "THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?" was uploaded to 1theK's YouTube channel.

Kakao Entertainment and Sony Music Solutions will jointly produce "THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?" which will feature the 13 trainees under IST Entertainment. The show will present the trainees being evaluated on their skills by the live audience members and a panel of judges that will include senior K-pop idols and experts.

All 13 trainees will compete for a chance to debut in IST Entertainment's new boy group, which is set for launch in the first half of the year and join the agency's roster of artists including Apink, The Boyz, Weeekly, VICTON and more.

According to the recently uploaded teaser video, the 13 boys will be split into two teams - Team A and Team B - and will show their talents through live performances, which the judges and live audience members will evaluate.
The panel of judges for IST Entertainment's survival show, "THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?" includes GOT7 Jay B, INFINITE Sunggyu, former 2NE1 member Minzy, Just Jerk's Kwak Yoon Young and Hwang Kyu Hong.

IST Entertainment Survival Show "THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?"
Throughout the program, there will be several rounds in the form of a "Balance Game," wherein judges and audience members have to choose between Team A and Team B. All 13 trainees will also be evaluated individually in every round to determine who will be the "Ace" trainees (who will stay in the show and receive benefits) and the "Death" trainees (who will be eliminated).
"THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?" is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 26, with Park Sun Young as the host. The boy group survival show will air via Kakao TV, MBN and 1theK's YouTube channel.

IST Entertainment Introduces 13 Who Will Participate in "THE ORIGIN - A, B, OR What?"
Ahead of the release of the first teaser video, IST Entertainment has already unveiled the 13 trainees who will take part in the survival show and later debut in their new boy group. These boys were chosen through multiple global auditions the agency held ahead of this year.

The participants who will be chosen by the public will win and prepare for their debut, while those who will not be selected will return to their trainee status.

On Feb. 11, IST Entertainment revealed the title of their upcoming boy group survival show along with the profile pictures and birthdays of the 13 contestants. They are Yang Donghwa, Won Bin, Seok Rakwon, Ryu Junmin, Park Jaehoon, Oh Junseok, Kim Yeonkyu, Kim Minseo, Kang Daehyun, Jeong Seunghwan, Jeong Junho, Choi Jinwook and Bae Hyunjun.

Among these trainees, Jeong Junho (being born on July 11, 2002) while Park Jaehoon is the youngest (being born on July 20, 2005).
