IU Shares Plans She Hopes to Pursue in Her Thirties, Including Opening a Concert Hall
Recently on February 16, IU sat down with fashion magazine Marie Claire for a feature and interview for the March 2022 issue of the magazine, which the latter released online.
During the interview, IU talked about what it feels like to finally be in her thirties, and reveals that she is really happy about it.
"I felt really happy when I turned 30 years old (in Koreag age) this year. I was watching the annual end-of-the-year music festivals at home when the countdown began," IU said.

The singer continued describing her feelings, "As it [my thirties] began, I suddenly felt excited. I felt butterflies in my stomach. It was the kind of excitement I had not felt in a while. Since I just felt so happy, It feels like I could do anything."
IU then confessed that during her late twenties, she had actually felt sort of helpless and tired with a lot of things in life. But now, entering in her thirties, she was excited as this felt like a fresh start for her.
IU also happy and excitedly revealed that she had actually made some plans that she hopes to pursue during her thirties.

"I want to open a small studio where I am able to work with other singers. I also want to build a little concert hall there, where the singers and I can perform," IU shared.
IU added that due to the pandemic, it has become more difficult for singers to hold a concert. And during those difficult times, she thought about ways to make the situation better for her and other singers.
"I very much wish to make those plans come true," IU concluded.

Meanwhile, "Celebrity" singer IU showed off her mature and chic side as the model for the cover of the March 2022 issue of Marie Claire Korea.
IU is currently active as the global ambassador for luxury fashion brand Gucci, and flaunted the brands 2022 collection "Love Parade," where she showed different chic moods to fit the atmosphere.

For this issue, IU's cover features the singer-actress posing along with several nature-themed props and backgrounds.
In other news, IU's latest music release was her special compilation album "Pieces," which was released back in December. She is currently slated to appear in leading roles for upcoming films "Dream" and "Broker," and the main role in the upcoming drama"Money Game."
