Korean My continues to express frustration over aespa NingNing, and here's the reason.
On February 16, various online communities posted articles, titled "The reason why fans of aespa's Korean members are currently annoyed."
In the article, criticism against the aespa Chinese member was written, blaming her for the hiatus of other members on social media sites.

In particular, the context of the post started by explaining how NingNing's support of the Chinese short track speed skater team who won the gold medal at the Winter Olympics sparked anger.
On DearU bubble, Lysn's paid messaging service used by SM Entertainment artists to privately interact with fans, NingNing congratulated the Chinese gold medalists.
It is not supposedly a big deal since the idol is also Chinese, but what triggered Korean K-pop fans is the fact that the Korean competitor for the same sports category claimed that China cheated the race.

The "Next Level" singer then started to receive hate comments. While many Mys (aespa fandom) initially defended NingNing, Korean Mys presumed other aespa members were affected by the criticism surrounding her.
The writer said, "No one has been sending bubbles for more than 10 days after the controversy over Chinese member NingNing."
aespa was originally called a "filial daughter" of Bubble for actively using the application to communicate with their fans. Among the quartet, Karina and Winter were the most active, who even suggest their subscribers share their photos exclusively only for paid users.
However, it has been weeks since the members shared their updates using the app, which is extremely unusual.

The writer further said, "After the controversy, Korean member fans, who stayed still in fear that other members might catch the fire, gradually began to get angry."
In fact, fans said on SNS particularly on Twitter started leaving comments, "When on earth is aespa Bubble coming?" "First time they haven't been here for this long," "It's the joy of my life, but now I lost it," and "The more I think about it, the more annoying it is." "Does it make sense for the rest of the members to avoid public because of Ningning?" Korean Mys complained.
Furthermore, while the first controversy started to cool down, NingNing was once again involved in another controversy, causing more disappointment.
Recently, Chinese idols received scrutiny from Koreans, calling out who intentionally refuse to do "Keun Jeol" (Korean deep/big bow) following EVERGLOW Yiren's bowing issue.
