On December 28, 2021, LOONA member Heejin held a solo live stream on V Live, where she took time to chat with fans for an hour. At the time, Heejin was showing fans photos on her iPad when she accidentally swiped to an image of a man with blonde hair. The idol reacted quickly, moving to hide it, but quick-eyed viewers could see the man's blonde hair.

As the male had the same hairdo as D1CE member Woo Jinyoung in his latest Christmas past, people started speculating that the two were dating. This is also because the two competed on the YG Entertainment survival show "MIXNINE" together.
Additionally, people noted that member Gowon was seen using Heejin's iPad in another live stream. There, she accidentally revealed the password, which is 970531. Coincidentally, this is Woo Jinyoung's birthday — May 31, 1997. This only fueled the rumors that Woo Jinyoung and Heejin were dating, with some speculating that a romance bloomed while they competed on "MIXNINE."

On December 29, 2021, LOONA's agency Blockberry Creative released a statement on the matter.
They claimed that the rumors concerning Heejin and Woo Jinyoung were groundless, and they were not dating. Blockberry Creative went as far as to say that the two idols are not personally acquainted with each other.

The company stated that the blonde guy in Heejin's photo gallery is actually her cousin showing his foot. Additionally, they claimed that the iPad used was not just Heejin's but is meant for all the LOONA members to use. Therefore, it would make no sense that the password would be a member's boyfriend.
