TWICE Jihyo Faces Technical Difficulty During Seoul Concert
TWICE is currently embarking on the North American leg of their fourth world tour, "III." The girls initially kickstarted the concert in December 2021 with two very successful opening concerts in Seoul.
At the time, only eight members performed as Jeongyeon could not attend due to health reasons.

During the concert, Jihyo faced a technical difficulty when her in-ear microphone suddenly fell while performing "MORE & MORE" in front of thousands of attendees. The way she handled the problem has garnered praise from internet users.

When Jihyo's in-ear microphone fell, she responded quickly. One hand moved to hold her microphone while she continued the choreography with the other. After her part ended, Jihyo promptly ran off stage to have the staff fix her microphone, then immediately ran back to the stage.

Jihyo only took 30 seconds to have her mic fixed and was even singing from backstage so that her technical difficulty would not affect her teammates. Though she was struggling, Jihyo did not show any sign of embarrassment or hesitation as she performed.

Jihyo's professionalist received praise from internet users. As the concert was performed live in front of an audience, the female idol was forced to handle the incident right on stage.

Due to this incident, internet users also discovered that TWICE was singing 100% live during their concerts. Because of the technical difficulty, Jihyo's voice was unstable, and the volume would change depending on how near or how far she was holding the microphone.

Additionally, when she was backstage, viewers would hear her singing and hear the sound of her breathing very clearly.

As TWICE is often criticized for lip-syncing and having weak vocals, Jihyo proved that TWICE does, in fact, sing live. And they sing well!
Nayeon also attracted because she immediately noticed when Jihyo was undergoing a technical difficulty. The camera caught the exact moment Nayeon turned her head back to look at Jihyo, smiling at her as if to encourage her. Though she noticed, she focused on performing to her best ability. Although she could not directly help Jihyo, her excellent observation skills garnered compliments from internet users.
