BLACKPINK Latest Venture Announced

On Wednesday, March 2, YG Entertainment announced its surprise partnership with HYBE in releasing the "BLACKPINK In Your Korean" textbook.

The entire set features a book, a pocketbook, photos, and some interactive items that can help BLINKs across the globe learn how to speak the Korean language.

BLACKPINK's textbook also features mostly pink and black hues that coincide with the name of the K-pop group.

There are also stickers and other pop-up items included in the set.

BLINKs Want New Music From BLACKPINK

But even though BLACKPINK's latest venture is too cute not to purchase, BLINKs are somewhat upset because they have been waiting for the K-pop group to make a comeback.

As such, they think that the textbook is YG Entertainment's way of giving BLINKs something to buy and focus on while they continue to make them wait for BLACKPINK's highly-anticipated comeback.

This isn't all the issue that BLINKs are seeing. Some of them were confused at the sight of HYBE and YG Entertainment's labels at the bottom of the textbook.

The collaboration between the two agencies was quite surprising because they are home to different K-pop groups.

But some BLINKs pointed out that HYBE is an expert at releasing language-centered materials for fans.

For instance, they released "Talk! With BTS," "Learn! KOREAN With BTS," and "Learn! KOREAN With TinyTan."

So, HYBE cannot just release "BLACKPINK In Your Korean" textbook without consent from YG Entertainment.

When Will BLACKPINK Return?

At the end of the day, BLINKs just want new music from BLACKPINK. But it seems they have no choice but to wait longer.

In January 2022, reports revealed that YG Entertainment is gearing for the release of a possible album from all four members of BLACKPINK.

There are also claims that the all-female group is preparing to make a comeback this year.

Even BLACKPINK Jennie dropped clues of what she and her group members have been doing in the past couple of months.

On Jan. 25, she said that she can't go into detail about BLACKPINK's plans for a comeback. But she confirmed that the group has been busy working on something for BLINKs.

In December 2020, BLACKPINK told Forbes that everything that they do is dedicated to BLINKs.

The group also said that they always listen to the comments of their fans every time they release a new song or album because they want to make sure that they're happy with their music.
