BLACKPINK Lisa's 'LALISA' Becomes Most Streamed K-Pop Debut Album on Spotify

In Spotify's recent update on March 6, BLACKPINK member Lisa's solo debut album, "LALISA," had reportedly hit a new milestone on the largest music streaming platform by surpassing 573 million streams to date since its release.

With this, Lisa has surpassed her own group, BLACKPINK's record of 572 million streams with their debut single album "Square One," which was originally released back in August 2016.

In addition to this, "LALISA" is now the record holder of the most streamed album by a K-Pop act in Spotify history, having broken the record in just 176 days following its release back on September 10, 2021.

Lisa is the second female K-Pop act to ever achieve such a feat of surpassing such a streams figure on Spotify, having been able to hit the 500 million streams back on January 20 of this year, after 132 days from its release.

The first female K-Pop act to achieve 500 million streams on Spotify was BLACKPINK. This also means that Lisa's debut album is the fastest, the first, and only album by a solo K-Pop act to do so.

When it comes to Lisa's two tracks in her album, the title track of the same name "LALISA" and its b-side "MONEY," the former had surpassed 181 million streams on the platform, while "MONEY" is nearing the 400 million mark at 391 million streams as of today.

This means that "MONEY" has no charted for a total of 177 days on the Global Daily Chart, making it the second longest-running song by a female K-Pop act, following behind BLACKPINK's 2020 hit song "How You Like That" from their "THE ALBUM" release.

In other news, "MONEY" has also seen a notable sales figure in the United States, having surpassed 500,000 unit sales in the country, making it the only song by a female K-Pop solo artist to achieve such a sales figure.
