On March 9, FirstOne Entertainment officially announced that it will launch its first Korean boy group, NINE.i, later this month. The agency also released a debut poster with the phrase "DEBUT COMING SOON" along with the album release date.

FirstOne Entertainment is a South Korean record label founded in January 2019. It is currently home to the Filipino boy group, 1st.One, and several soloists like Kisum, Huh Chan Mi, and Na Yoon Kwon.

NINE.i will comprise a total of 10 members namely Jewon, Eden, Winnie, Minjun, Vahn, Seowon, Taehun, Vari, Joohyoung, and Jiho.

Three of these boys were initially introduced to the public through different survival shows. In particular, Woo Jewon is a former "Produce X 101" contestant. He was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking No. 54.

Minjun is a past "Wild Idol" contestant. He only made it until the survival show's episode 3. Meanwhile, Vahn (also known as Kim Jung Woo) is a former "Under Nineteen" contestant. He ranked No. 26 in episode 12, thus, he was eliminated.

Besides having past survival show participants, NINE.i also includes one foreign member, particularly a Thai rapper.

Former "Produce 101" contestant Jewon is the oldest member of FirstOne Entertainment's new boy group, NINE.i. It is reported that he will act as the leader, and one of the vocalists in the band.
Before training under the label, Jewon first spent his years of training at Around Us Entertainment.

Eden's real name is Jaewon, But since it sounds exactly like Jewon's name, he will use "Eden" as his stage name. He is described to be the mood maker of the group, and can speak in English.

This former "Wild Idol" contestant has been into dancing since he was in his third year of middle school.
NINE.i Vahn

Besides being a former "Under Nineteen" contestant, Vahn is also known as a past member of the project group HNB. He was also part of UTH but the group disbanded before debuting.
Like Eden, this NINE.i member can also speak English as he is studying at an international middle school.
He used to be a trainee at Happy Face, A Entertainment, and Deep Studio Entertainment.

Vari's real name is Jaehyun. He is part of the group's vocal line and is described to be the "acrobatic ace" in NINE.i.
