'Genius Idol' BTS J-Hope Receives Rave Reviews From Top Producer
ARMYs have nothing but praises for BTS J-Hope after a top producer gave him rave reviews. In the latter's recent vlog, he discussed the idol's skills not only as a singer but also as producer - he even called him a "genius"!
Producer Crazy Gamsung Impressed by BTS J-Hope's 'All-Rounder Skills'
On March 16, Producer Crazy Gamsung's YouTube vlog, featuring BTS J-Hope, gained massive interest from ARMYs (BTS fandom). This is because the decade-long professional composer did not only react to J-Hope's self-composed song, "Outro: Ego," but also emphasized the reasons the idol is considered a "genius."
In the video, the producer talked about J-Hope's strength and praised him:
"He's so good. He has a perfect balance in everything that you would think 'Is he real?' He is good at rapping, singing, dancing and even making pop music melodies."

In particular, J-Hope is popularly known as one of the main dancers of BTS but in regards to his solo prowess, the producer added:
"Even when performing songs as a soloist, he raps at an amazing beat. His voice is also beautiful not to mention how he dances crazily. Although he's singing it alone, (J-Hope) produces songs that you'll never get bored of."

On the same day, the producer further praised the Bangtan rapper and defined his idea of vocal melody as "genius."
While many listeners would not notice, J-Hope arranged "Outro: Ego" chorus and solo melody as well as the rap part in the first eight bars. This is considered an incredible natural transition from the POV of a professional composer.
As the producer-composer went on with explaining technical terms in regard to composing, he couldn't help but commend J-Hope's rap as well.
"J-Hope sounds the coolest when he is rapping. With his unique voice, his ability to build up the song is impressive. You'll see this with 'Chicken Noodle Soup'."
Last but not least, Producer Crazy Gamsung lauded the idol's effort on improving his innate talent.
"J-Hope is already a genius, but he must have worked even hard to surpass that. When you look at his balance and perfection when it comes to rap, singing, dance, composing and producing, I felt motivated thinking how much effort he exerted to do it all."
As soon as the clip was uploaded, it went viral among ARMYs, the fact that he received praises from a top producer who has 16 years of professional experience and who have worked with top K-pop groups and icons TVXQ, Super Junior, Brown Eyed Girls, Big Mama, and more.
Currently, Producer Crazy Gamsung appears on SBS radio, "Kim Young Chul's Power FM," introducing the musical aspect of K-pop from a composer's point of view.
