HYBE to Debut New Girl Group with Former IZ*ONE Members Sakura and Chaewon in May
On March 21 KST, media outlet News1 reported that HYBE and Source Music's upcoming girl group, which will feature former IZ*ONE members Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon in its debut lineup, will be making their debut sometime in May.
In addition, the media outlet also reported that the girl group is currently focusing on their practices and preparations for their highly-anticipated debut.

Not long after the exclusive report by News1, a representative of HYBE and Source Music confirmed the reports, stating that the two labels' girl group is, indeed, preparing to make their debut in May. They also stated that they will reveal the exact debut date once it has been confirmed.
"The first girl group under HYBE, to which Kim Chaewon and Miyawaki Sakura are a part of, is preparing to debut in May. We will reveal their debut date once it has been confirmed," HYBE said.

Meanwhile, expectations are rising for the upcoming group, as this will mark the first girl group launched by HYBE, aside from the now-disbanded GLAM under Big Hit Entertainment.
Fans are especially excited to see what kind of concept the new girl group will present to the world, given that they are labelmates with top K-Pop stars, such as BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, and SEVENTEEN, among others.

In addition, many are also excited to see the two former IZ*ONE members make their re-debut together. Just last March 14, HYBE confirmed that Sakura and Chaewon had signed an exclusive contract with Source Music, after much speculation of the two's status since mid-2021.

Following the announcement of Sakura and Chaewon signing with Source Music, HYBE's founder and chairman, Bang Si Hyuk, shared a picture of the three of them on his social media, with a simple caption saying, "Welcome."

Sakura also took to her social media to express her thoughts, saying, "I am working hard every day in a very good environment and meeting warm staff members who help me out. I hope to meet everyone soon and i am working hard to show you a better Sakura."
For Chaewon, she said, "I am putting a lot of effort to show an improved image just as much as you waited. So please look forward to it and hope for good things in the future. Please show a lot of interest and love."
