BTS V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has been dubbed the "social media king" ever since he launched his personal Instagram account on Dec. 6, 2021, and has been setting and breaking records on the platform.
Recently, the global star obtained another remarkable feat on the social media app with one particular post.

On March 24, BTS V's Instagram post showing his beloved and well-known pet dog Yeontan exceeded 19 million likes. He made this post on Dec. 7 of last year, meaning it took almost four months to hit the mark.
With this, Taehyung becomes the first Asian in history to garner 19 million likes on the platform.

The "Dynamite" singer achieved this with a three-month-old account having less than 40 million followers, beating many Asian celebrities that have over 60 million followers.
In addition to becoming the first Asian, BTS V has also become the tenth person in the world to attain this title, joining the list of famous people that includes Ariana Grande, Kylie Jenner, Tom Holland, Lionel Messi, Billie Eilish, Mermaid Montana, XXTENTACION, Chadwick Boseman, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Also, recently, Kim Taehyung was the No. 1 Korean Mega Influencer on Instagram for the third week of March, according to Alffy Official (an AI that analyzes big data for trends). He is followed by BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo.
During the said week, the "Blue & Grey" writer accumulated more than 35 million likes with just three posts.

According to K-pop Radar, a fandom data-observing platform that monitors K-pop artists and their content, Taehyung's Instagram account (@thv) was the most-followed account for a Korean act for the months of January and February this 2022.

While he gained a total of 3,696,421 followers in January 2022, he had 2,531,116 followers in February 2022, even surpassing the official account of his own group, BTS, in growth.
As of March 19, BTS V ranks No. 13 on the Top 1000 Instagram Influencers for March 2022 released by HypeAuditor. This is currently the highest position a male K-pop idol has ever reached on the tally.

Moreover, he was the only one in the Top 15 with less than 40 million Instagram followers. He ranks along with celebrities with 70 million to 400 million followers, demonstrating his high engagements with his authentic followers.
As of March 25, BTS V's Instagram account placed No. 16 after dropping to No. 18 on the previous day. He charts within Top 20 together with other K-pop idols like BLACKPINK members Lisa and Jennie, as well as his bandmates Jimin and Jungkook.
According to HypeAuditor, @thv gained over 2.3 million followers in the past four weeks and has an engagement rate of 32.19% to date.
