In 2016, Jonghyun's heartwarming encounter with a fan proved he's no doubt the sweetest idol in the world. The Shawol (SHINee fan) is a college student working part-time in a café.

The male idol didn't only help Hye Rin do her chores but also lent his ears to listen to her accumulating stress.

At the end of the meeting, Jonghyun warmly assured the fan:

"You've gone through a lot. You did well again today."

3. Jonghyun and SHINee Standing up for T-ARA

In 2012, Jonghyun showed how kindhearted he was.

In that year, T-ARA was embroiled in a former member's Hwayoung bullying controversy. Despite this, the girl group attended SBS's "Gayo Daejun," only to find out they didn't have seats arranged for them.

Many fans turned their backs on them and idols were scared to speak for them, but Jonghyun called the staff and urged his co-SHINee members to give up their seats for T-ARA.

In 2015, he was promoting his track, "Deja-Boo," when he decided to make fun of himself.

Over Twitter, he posted a series of photos, comparing the color of his suits to a variety of Listerine mouthwash.

As his memes went viral among fans, the brand Listerine itself sent him a three-tier cake and boxes of the mouthwash to congratulate his successful release!

5. SHINee Jonghyun's Trust for Shawol is on a Different Scale

Sasaeng is sadly common in the K-pop industry, but SHINee Jonghyun's trust for Shawols was incomparable.

While most idols maintain distance from fans to avoid accidents, Jonghyun was confident to approach a crowd of fans and let them touch him.

Other fans told him to go up on stage to assure his safety, but Jonghyun told them it was okay and that he trusted them they wouldn't hurt him.

7. Jonghyun Krump Fails

Last but definitely the most legendary on this list was his hilarious moment with SHINee members.

In particular, Key shared the clip on his Instagram, where the members including Minho were re-creating their cringey yet iconic Ottogi CF's "Busyeo Busyeo."

Taemin, Key and Minho were already done singing their part and while waiting for Jonghyun, Minho was seen spraying mist on the floor.

And yes, that was how the funny accident happened.

While Jonghyun gave his all to do the "krump" part, he fell on the slippy floor. It must've been a painful fall, but Key and Minho's crow laugh will never be not funny!
