Reporter Shares First Impression of EXO Suho - Here's Idol's True Personality
A reporter for a Korean news media outlet revealed his first impression of EXO Suho. In the article, they also mentioned the idol's personality as Kim Junmyeon.
On April 10, Reporter Kim Yujin released an article through X-Sports News featuring EXO Suho. This is in line with the news outlet's segment, "Old Notebook," which revealed more details from a past interview with a star that wasn't able to be included in the original article at that time.
Reporter Reveals First Impression of EXO Suho – What is Idol's Personality in Real Life?
In the article, reporter Kim looked back on an interview with actor Kim Junmyeon, also known as EXO Suho, in March 2016 when he had his debut film, "One Way Trip."
The reporter then confessed that she initially have prejudices that top stars like Suho would give the perfect and text-book like response in front of reporters.
However, her first impression and meeting with the "Grey Suit" singer were beyond her expectations.
Kim narrated:
"Suho's expression as he came down to the interview room from the third floor to the second floor, where he was waiting, was somewhat depressed. At that time, Suho was busy with EXO's concert. The first thing I said at the first meeting before the first greeting was not a statement, but 'Why are you coming down so depressed?'
Suho, who smiled awkwardly saying, 'No, no,' greeted me politely and sat down as he had always seen on the screen."

During the whole interview which last for more than an hour, Kim highlighted Suho's humility. She pointed out that it could be misunderstood as a comment from a professional, but she recognized the idol-actor's "honest and quite specific answers," which broke her prejudices.
"There was a strange power of speech (Suho have) that made me listen (to him) more. The more we talk, the more interesting he is."
EXO Suho Shares How He Manages Fan Comments + Difference as Idol and Actor
In the article, Reporter Kim Yujin shared how Suho faces bad comments.
In particular, they were reading comments below the article that was posted at that time when Kim noticed Suho having a dispirited face and confessed he saw something bad.
"Isn't it hard to read each comment because there are so many fans?"
Suho's reply then made the reporter admire him more. He calmly said:
"I only watch it in a favorable order. Only three pages in the order of favorability. I ignore cases of mocking me meaninglessly, but I humbly accept and reflect on the writings that have been criticized objectively and calmly."
In regards to his personality when it comes to being an idol and actor, Kim Yujin pointed out that in EXO, Suho rarely brings up his own story.
Suho repeatedly said at that time:
"I can do it more comfortably if I'm being interviewed as an EXO member, but now I'm more careful and humble because my mindset is new actor Kim Jumyeon."
When complimented that "the more you talk with him, the more interesting he is,"
He smiled shyly, saying, "I like to talk."
He explained that when he's actively promoting in a group, he is often the listener of members than the speaker.
