Following confirmation of participation from top stars BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, and more, Dispatch revealed more details on "DFESTA" a festival organized by the media outlet to commemorate its 10th anniversary.

On April 13, IFC Mall, a complex shopping culture landmark announced that it will join hands with Korean media outlet Dispatch for the latter's upcoming global super-large K-POP festival, "DFESTA."

DFESTA 2022: Venue, Schedule + Lineup

VENUE: According to the news, DFESTA will take place at MPX Gallery and CGV located on the L3rd floor of IFC Mall.

SCHEDULE: DFESTA will be held until June 6, which already started on April 8.

LINEUP: In particular, DFESTA first announced on January 1 initially introduced its lineup comprised of nine top K-pop groups including NU'EST, BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, Stray Kids, TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) and ENHYPEN. They all led the globalization of K-pop.

DFESTA 2022 Festival Themes: BTS, SEVENTEEN, More to Perform Virtually

If you are curious about what will happen to the festival, DFESTA is actually divided into three themes, presenting videos, photos, drawings, etc. of K-pop stars based on the theme.

THE MOVIE

Starting with "THE MOVIE," it is a music film consisting of an original story, music, and performance that can be enjoyed on CGV. It is a stage video implemented with the world's best XR (extended reality) technology and sound produced with 5.1 channel sound, providing a sense of immersion that resembles a concert in reality.

THE EXHIBITION

The second theme is "THE EXHIBITION" wherein the photos of 69 artists from the 9 teams will be showcased in various forms.

The MPX Gallery will especially display memories of the past decade with Dispatch, 290 super-large latest photos, and 9 large canvas works drawn by 69 artists in a total of six sections.

THE EXPERIENCE

Last but not least, the third theme is "THE EXPERIENCE," a venue where every K-pop enthusiast can enjoy the festival together.

Through high-tech immersive media art, visitors can experience the stage where the artist is performing. Fans can also indirectly experience the virtual space seen at DFESTA's "THE MOVIE."

The large photo wall, completed with a 23m super-large poster announcing the DFESTA and handwritten autographs of 69 artists, is another attraction to enjoy at "THE EXPERIENCE."

Aside from these three exciting events, DISPATCH also made the visit more fun through its special event. Ticket buyers can receive a special kit that consists of the ticket itself and an artist's random photo cards displayed during the period when receiving the ticket.

Meanwhile, DFESTA is the first global K-pop festival in which the artists who led the globalization of K-pop and the best creators in Korea participated together during an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Dispatch. It will be held at the IFC Mall in Yeouido from April 8 to June 6.
