On April 18, a post was made on the online community Nate Pann and it reveals that BTOB member Yook Sungjae is currently dating a non-celebrity woman.

According to the post, the woman is Peniel's acquaintance. Therefore, it is speculated that Sungjae and her met through Peniel.
The post also said that she shared a video related to golf on her Instagram story and Sungjae's voice can be heard in the background. The story, however, was taken down afterward.

Yook Sungjae and Peniel's hobby has been golfing lately, so it is assumed that the girl just went to play golf with them.

In addition to this, BTOB Sungjae and Peniel's friend are allegedly using a couple phone cases.
Furthermore, it is said that there are a lot of photos of the two together on their social media accounts. However, the images spread and so their SNS accounts were set to private.
On Twitter, many fans claim that Sungjae's supposed girlfriend is a TikToker and an Instagram influencer. The woman's TikTok account has also been set to private following her dating rumor with the BTOB member.

Out of respect for the two, Melody (BTOB's fandom) is refraining from uploading and spreading the pictures of the girl, as well as her Instagram account.
Netizens who saw the post on Nate Pann left comments, such as "You should have been careful," "I would be a little disappointed if my bias did this," "Idols are people too, so they can date," and "They're a perfect match for each other.

Sungjae participated in BTOB's first full-group comeback this past February. This comes after his military discharge in November of last year.

On Feb. 21, BTOB dropped their third studio album "Be Together" which features the title track "The Song," which band member Hyunsik composed. This album broke the group's first-week sales record from 2018 after it sold 113,430 copies from Feb. 21 to 27. Their initial best record was 91,207 copies sold by "HOUR MOMENT."
Regarding its chart performance, "Be Together" ranked first on iTunes charts all over the world. It placed first on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, becoming the band's very first album to do so. It also landed at No. 20 on the European iTunes Album Chart.

Moreover, BTOB's third studio album hit No. 1 on iTunes Album Chart in various countries, including Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Taiwan, and more. The album even entered the top 10 in the United States and Japan.
With the title track "The Song," BTOB was able to win two music show trophies on "Show Champion" and "M Countdown" on March 2 and 3, respectively.
Meanwhile, the group was supposed to hold their 10th anniversary concert in March, however, some of the members were diagnosed with COVID-19, hence the three-day concert was postponed to a later date.
