Though LE SSERAFIM has not yet debuted, the girl group has been embroiled in a series of controversies. This has made them the center of attention in many online communities and social media.

On April 19, Source Music released LE SSERAFIM's debut trailer, "FEARLESS TRAILER - The World Is My Oyster."
We see the six girls showing off their modern, strong girl concept throughout the trailer. The members are seen proving how fearless they are by flaunting their talents and skills and their visuals. The girls also showcased their strengths in dancing. The teaser received love from fans, especially non-Korean supporters.

While LE SSERAFIM received a lot of praise from international fans, Koreans were not as thrilled. Many think the teaser did not clearly show the concept and was too bland and lengthy.
In addition, they expressed that the trailer did not leave a lasting impression after watching the video.

The members also received criticism, with some saying that the members are trying too hard to appear cool in the video.
Some comments concerning LE SSERAFIM's debut trailer read:
"Out of all of the debut trailers from HYBE, this is the worst I have seen. I do not feel any emotions after watching it."
"At first, I thought the group was going for a 'creepy' concept, so I was interested. But after their concept photos and this long trailer, I feel bored. Some of the cool acting parts are a bit awkward, but at least their visuals are good."
"The group released many teaser photos and videos that I liked. But then they released this trailer, and now I am confused and do not understand their concept."
"I find the video so boring. It is confusing, and the concept isn't clear. Even the song is not attractive."
"The concept is quite strange. I hope the music video is good and the members show off their skills."
"I think it was good even though I cannot tell what their concept is."

LE SSERAFIM's Upcoming Debut
On April 13, it was announced by Source Music that LE SSERAFIM is set to debut on May 2 with their first mini-album, "FEARLESS." The girl group will hold a debut showcase that same day at the Jangchung Arena.
