Today, April 26, is BIGBANG member Daesung's 33rd birthday! To celebrate his special day, let's look at some fun facts about the male idol!
1. He sold mods of his nose and lips
Daesung is the most famous member of BIGBANG in Japan. He is so popular that he sold ice cube tray sets and molds of his nose and lips in Japan, and it was a massive hit with VIPs in the country!

The ice cube tray sets were called "Ice! Nose, Lips," a pun on Taeyang's song "Eyes, Nose, Lips." He spent 15 minutes encased in silicone to make the product. While many fans used it simply to make ice in the shape of Daesung's nose and lips, other people used it to make jelly, rice balls, dango, chocolates, and more!
2. His YouTube channel
On June 25, 2020, Daesung anonymously opened a YouTube channel called D'splay.
On his channel, he plays drums, vlogs, streams, assembles Lego, all without showing his face. He uses the alias "Mt. Hwaak Army Assistant's Playground" on the channel.

However, in May 2021, people discovered he owns the channel. Though the secret is out, Daesung still sticks to his persona but freely mentions BIGBANG now.
As his persona, he interviewed Taeyang and, hilariously, himself (Daesung)! He also vlogged himself at the filming set for "Still Life" and promoted the new release there.
3. He's a skincare lover

Daesung takes excellent care of his skin. So much so that he always believes his hands are dirty and refuses to touch his face, even if he is on camera. When he takes a shower, he needs to wash his hands for one to two minutes before he can rinse his face.

When he does rinse his face, he does it in a counterclockwise direction with his hands. He cleanses his face thoroughly once a day and only cleans his face with soft flowing water when in the show. He claims his tip is to act as if he is filming a shower scene in a movie.
In 2016, G-Dragon also stated that he learned a lot about skincare from Daesung because of how good he is at skincare!
4. Stage name

In South Korea, Daesung is the only member who promotes with his real name. G-Dragon's real name is Kwon Jiyong, T.O.P's name is Choi Seung Hyun, and Taeyang's name is Dong Yong Bae. Even former member Seungri did not promote with his real name; his birth name is Lee Seung Hyun.

However, in Japan, Daesung does not promote with his real name. In Japan, he is known as D-LITE.
5. His ideal type

According to KProfiles, Daesung wants a woman who is a good talker and is understanding of his career as an idol. Moreover, he wants someone he can lean on for support and give him strength by consoling him when they are together.
