Choi Chan Hee, most commonly known by his stage name New, is the main vocalist of IST Entertainment's boy group, THE BOYZ, since their debut back in December 2017.
But today, on April 26, marks New's birthday as he celebrates turning a year older! In honor of the THE BOYZ member's 24th birthday, here are five facts about New that you might not have known about.

1. New had numerous part-time jobs

Before K-Pop idols make their debut, they have to undergo months or years of training. And while they are a trainee, there are times when they are in a financially difficult spot for having to support themselves.
In order to do so, some trainees would take on part-time jobs on the side, and it's no different for New!
According to the idol himself, he had worked at several places for his part-time job, such as working at a fish restaurant, a grill restaurant, and more.
2. New has a tattoo

Did you know that New has a tattoo of a small cross on his left pinky finger? He is one of the three members of THE BOYZ who is confirmed to have a tattoo. While it is unsure when he exactly got the tattoo, New already had his tattoo during his early debut days to symbolize his Christian belief.
3. New doesn't know how to swim

While New's fellow THE BOYZ members are a fan of swimming, with Juyeon even knowing how to scuba dive and Younghoon having won at national swimming competitions, New had revealed in an episode of "Come On! The Boyz Summer Vacation" that he actually can't swim. Which is alright as he is talented in other areas!
4. New is an introvert

In K-Pop dorms, groups usually like to assign a member who is in charge of cooking, and for THE BOYZ, it's New! It was revealed that New is usually the members who makes the members' meals, which isn't surprising considering his experience working at restaurants.
