The Heart-Fluttering Midnight Sun Live Musical Is Back!

Fans of Korean musicals are in for a treat! The Midnight Sun Live Musical will be making a second run after a hugely successful debut last year.

First performed in May 2021, the musical, which was performed live and streamed across the world in real time, attracted global audiences online and offline from 114 countries and regions around the world. Due to its huge success, producers of the musicals have decided to not only bring it back, but with a brand new star-studded cast as well!

The new casts this year speak for themselves! The role of Haena will be performed by three new faces - Kim Namjoo (Apink) who has been well-known for her unique energetic charms on various variety shows and web dramas, actress Lee Sang A, who was cast in the Bernarda Alba and 1976 Harlan County musicals, and Kwon Eunbi, a former IZ*ONE member who is currently growing her success as a soloist!

As for the role of our male lead, shy boy Haram, the cast is even more exciting! The role will be performed by four new cast members - singer Ha Sung Woon, a former Wanna One member will be making his musical debut with Midnight Sun Live Musical, Jinho (PENTAGON) who has proven his potential as a musical actor in All Shook Up and The Man in the Iron Mask, actor Song Geonhee who is honing his skills through drama series, best known for his role in the hit television series Sky Castle and Y (Golden Child) who played Luke in SHINSWAVE-produced Altar Boyz (2021). These exceptional cast members are sure to create a beautiful musical with various emotions that will remind audiences of their first love!

Synopsis

Haram, a boy who enjoys surfing under the hot sun, meets Haena, a girl who sings under the dark moonlight with her guitar in tow. "I've been watching you. I don't have a boyfriend." The sudden confession has Haram startled, but his heart soon flutters for Haena who sings of dreams, and the two enjoy their sweet dates every evening. One day, Haena who must avoid the sun due to a rare illness, suddenly feels something wrong with her condition and decides to leave Haram's side..."I was happy to have met someone so warm like you!" A young boy who is blinding like a hot summer day's ray of light, and a girl who shines like a midsummer's moonlight. The harmony of their youth, growth, and love will begin.
