"Thunderous" is arguably one of Stray Kids' most challenging songs to perform. The song has a strong rhythm and features several rap parts. Additionally, the choreography is fast and powerful. To perform "Thunderous" well, one must have singing, dancing, and rapping skills.

While many were worried that NMIXX's choice was too ambitious, many were surprised that they had pulled off the song well. In the end, the girl group earned praise for their ability to execute the song.
