NCT Jaehyun, aespa Winter Crowned as 'Best K-pop Vocalists' in First Half of 2022
The selection for the "K-pop Best Vocalist" of the global fandom platform, Fantoo, has ended. On June 8, the platform officially announced NCT Jaehyun and aespa Winter as representative vocalists of idols in the first half of 2022!
In particular, this title is among several award categories under Fantoo's "First Half of 2022 Settlement" ceremony, which started in May.
For this category, large-scale voting with 50 male and female artists each as nominees was held. The list of candidates is filled with the names of vocalists ranging from the second generation idol to the fourth generation idol who just debuted.
As a result, Jaehyun, one of the main vocalists of NCT, was selected as No. 1 in the men's category. The "Try Again" singer is loved for his deep-mid to low-pitched tone and is lauded for his stable live vocals despite performing complex dance moves.
On top of his heavenly voice, Jaehyun attracts more fans' attention as his voice matches his angel-like visuals, proving his "all-rounder" idol status.

In the female category, Winter secured her first-place ranking as the key vocalist of aespa.
Although she's not the main singer of the group, fans admire her unique tone, particularly her high notes. She is also often praised for her "killing parts," or the part of a song or choreography that stands out the most throughout the performance.
With this, aespa Winter also earned the nickname, "best vocalist of the fourth generation."
Top 3 K-pop's Best Vocalists in Male, Female Category: TREASURE Junkyu, Kim Sejeong, More
Following Jaehyun, Junkyu from TREASURE came second with 27.13% of the vote.
Among the group, the male idol is gaining attention for his YG-style vocals, which possess the qualities of having a clear tone, attractive vocal color and articulate pronunciation.
He doesn't only aim to impress listeners, but he also makes sure to express his individual charms through his genuine singing.
Trailing behind him is NCT Renjun, ranking third. The vocalist of NCT Dream often receives rave reviews for his vocals. He doesn't need fancy vocal techniques to touch the hearts of the listeners, but his sincere singing is enough.
In the women's category, former I.O.I and GUGUDAN Kim Sejeong came second, while TWICE Jihyo was ranked third.
Kim Sejeong, prior to her popularity as an actress, is a well-received singer in the K-pop scene. Jihyo, on the other hand, impresses music fans with her strong, powerful vocals.
Their vocals alone earned them their similar nickname, "God" (GodSejeong and GodJihyo).
