#NingningDeservesBetter: MTV Slammed for Excluding Ningning in aespa Video Thumbnail
MYs took to Twitter to trend #NingningDeservesBetter after MTV Asia did not include Ningning in the thumbnail of an aespa video.

MTV Slammed for Not Including Ningning in Thumbnail for aespa Video
On June 11, 2022, MTV Asia shared aespa's complete set during their performance at the Korea UAE K-Pop Festival. The girl group performed two songs, "Black Mamba" and "Forever."

Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that the thumbnail only included three members, namely Winter, Karina, and Giselle. Ningning was the only member of aespa not to be added to the thumbnail, which sparked an immediate backlash from MYs (aespa fandom).

Many tookto Twitter to trend #NingningDeservesBetter and #TreatNingningFairly. Others stressed that "AESPA IS FOUR," so the members deserve equal priority.

Many complained that it was not hard to include four members in their thumbnail and demanded the company fix the photo to have Ningning. Others stated that Ningning did not do anything to deserve her being excluded.

Many also took to the video itself, with many airing out their complaints over the exclusion of Ningning in the thumbnail.

It was also noted that this is not the first aespa video MTV Asia has posted. On May 17, 2022, they also shared aespa's full set during the INK Incheon K-Pop Concert. In this video, all four members were included in the thumbnail.

As of writing, MTV Asia has not changed the thumbnail, nor have they released a statement on the matter. Likewise, SM Entertainment has also not commented on the situation. The members of aespa have also not commented on the matter.
