In his post, he included several photos of him, his fellow GOT7 members, as well as the surroundings in what seemed to be intended as a way to reminisce.

Netizens who saw the photo felt that sharing it to the world was done in poor taste, given that Russia is currently seen as a hostile country following their ongoing large-scale invasion of neighboring country Ukraine. With Russia's war between Ukraine that began back on February 24 of this year, both countries have suffered significant casualties, as well as millions of Ukrainian citizens having sought refuge in other welcoming countries.

With the ongoing war, netizens expressed their disappointment with the post, and felt that BamBam including Russia with his reminiscing of the past was insensitive on his part.

Due to negative response he received, BamBam eventually deleted the post. But later re-uploaded the same photos excluding the ones taken during their time in Russia.
