Lee Hyori to Make Comeback With New Collaboration Single
On August 8, it was reported that former Fin.K.L member-turned-solo artist Lee Hyori will be making her comeback with the release of a new digital single.
Her upcoming song, titled "I Am Happy From Today," will be released as part of the "Two Track Project," which is jointly produced by Jo Dong Hee and Jo Dong Ik.
Not only that, but Lee Hyori's new song is a collaboration with none other than her husband and musician, Lee Sang Soon, which marks their first time working and releasing a new song together since their marriage back in September 2013.

"I Am Happy From Today" is a song that will share the message on how we should "escape the world briefly and meet the self within our hearts," as well as the message that we can discover the universe even if it is in a small flower.
The song was written and composed by Jo Dong Hee and Jo Dong Ik, with Lee Hyori on the vocals, and Lee Sang Soon on the guitar. Singer Jang Pil Soon will also be adding her vocals for the harmony.
In addition, "I Am Happy From Today" will also be made available in another version such by Jung Se Woon.

Meanwhile, since Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon moved together to Jeju Island back in 2013, they have been close friends with Jo Dong Ik and Jang Pil Soon, which may have influenced the release of this song.
Reports say that the genre of the new song will be folk, as Lee Hyori worked with Jang Pil Soon, who is known as the godmother of folk music.
"I Am Happy From Today" is set to be released on various online music platforms this coming August 11 at 6pm KST.

Back in 2020, Lee Hyori released a new song under the project co-ed group SSAK3, which was formed through the MBC variety program "Hangout with Yoo," and consists of members Yoo Jae Suk and Rain.
With the group, in which she promoted with the stage name Linda G, they released the song "Beach Again" and even went to promote on music shows.

For her solo songs, Lee Hyori hasn't released new music since 2017, when she released her sixth studio album "Black."
In 2021, Lee Hyori became the first female to host the Mnet Asian Music Awards.
She has also appeared on several broadcasts, including "Face ID," "The Hungry and the Hairy," and "Seoul Check-in."
