Recently, fans have noticed that American pop singer Ariana Grande began "cleaning" her social media account. Here, the "Thank U, Next" singer unfollowed around 100 people on her Instagram following list and bringing her following count down to 636.
Celebrities like to "clean" their social media from time to time, which usually involve unfollowing people who they may or may not have interacted with recently, among other reasons.
In fact, K-pop idols also like to do such practice. Fans even like to joke how some celebrities did not "survive" the cleaning.

In particular, fans have noticed that one of the people who Ariana Grande unfollowed was Red Velvet's youngest member, Yeri.
Ariana Grande had followed Yeri back in 2019, after the K-pop idol expressed she had been a longtime fan of the American singer. Ariana Grande subsequently liked several of Yeri's Instagram posts, and since then, they had been mutually following each other.
Naturally, the act of unfollowing Yeri had attracted a lot of attention from Red Velvet fans, ReVeluvs, who are wondering why Yeri was among the accounts that the foreign singer had decided to no longer follow.

But interestingly, it was actually Yeri who unfollowed Ariana Grande first!
The "Feel My Rhythm" singer had also "cleaned" out her Instagram account in the past, where she unfollowed everyone on her following list and bringing the count to zero.
Thus, it is highly likely that Ariana Grande unfollowed Yeri as she wasn't following her back anymore.
