Who are the top K-pop dancers of the current era? In an interview, a US-based dance professor named THESE three idols who are currently dominating the K-pop scene. Here's what she said about them.

On August 23, a media outlet released an article featuring Dance Professor Oh Jooyeon and her insights about K-pop dance.
In particular, Oh is currently a dance professor who majored in ballet and modern dance and is teaching dance theory at San Diego State University in the U.S.

In the article, Professor Oh talked about K-pop as the modern genre of dance and praised BLACKPINK Lisa for her significant contribution to the dance scene. She particularly said:
"I think she is the top dancer among K-pop idols...
BLACKPINK Lisa is the top dancer of this era, and I'd like to make her the subject for my next research topic..."
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Lisa was recognized by professionals for her incredible dance skills. In the past, famous Korean idol choreographer Choi Youngjun revealed that the female is the best dancer that he personally taught.

As BLACKPINK made their much-anticipated comeback on August 19 with their pre-release track, "PINK VENOM," it is expected that more dance critics and professionals will continuously acknowledge the abilities of the star.
BTS Jimin, SHINee Taemin Mentioned as 'Outstanding Dancers Among Korean Idols'
In the article, it was also mentioned how Professor Oh Jooyeon cited two popular male idols as the outstanding dancers among idols in this K-pop era.
In particular, when Oh visited Korea with the book "K-pop Dance: Fandomizing Yourself on Social Media" published in the U.S. last month, she said in the interview on the 19th:
"Anyone can learn and dance a certain choreography, but there are few performers with innate charisma, charm and stardom that can fill the big stage alone."

Professor Oh went on:
"However, there are so many outstanding dancers such as Jimin (BTS) and Taemin (SHINee) among Korean idols. I want to research them someday."
Alongside Lisa, Jimin and Taemin were also consistently mentioned as the best K-pop dancers among currently active idols.
Jimin was especially lauded for his fluidity and art-like performances. Dance instructors also pointed out his charisma, which can send the crowd into a frenzy just by his looks at the audience or camera.
As for Taemin, he was chosen by top choreographers couple of the industry, J Black and Mary, as one of the four idols who dance best, citing his "strength to dominate the stage."
