Antenna Denies Jessi Is in Talks To Sign With Label

On August 24, a report stated that Jessi is in talks with Antenna Entertainment, home to famous host and comedian Yoo Jae Suk and former Lovelyz Mijoo. According to the news, an insider gave out details that the two sides have already agreed on the exclusive contract and are coordinating the contract details.

However, annother report refuted that on the 24th, Antenna's official carefully stated that the rumors about Jessi signing an exclusive contract with them was "groundless."

Jessi Ends Contract With P Nation

In July this year, P Nation officially announced the expiration of their exclusive contract with Jessi. It has been three years since the first contract was signed.

At that time, P-Nation announced:

"We will support Jessie's future career as an artist, and will continue to support her various activities."

Afterward, Jessi posted on her Instagram and said:

"I haven't rested since 2005, so please give me time to settle down."

Jessi Jokes She Would Join Mijoo, Yoo Jae Suk in Antenna

After leaving P Nation, Jessi immediately emerged as "FA big fish" in the entertainment industry. At the time of her departure, she was rumored to sign with Antenna Music.

Jessi's co-hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Mijoo, her co-mainstays at tvN's famous variety show "Sixth Sense," are both under Antenna.

In "Sixth Sense" Episode 12 (Season Three) back in June, the cast joked about Lee Sang Yeob joining Antenna since he is a free agent after ending his contract with his previous agency. Lee Mijoo then joked she would help him join the company effortlessly.

After that, Yoo Jae Suk remembered Jessi would be ending her contract, too. Mijoo also urged her to join the company and Yoo Jae Suk jokingly said that Mijoo was going to be kicked out if that happens.

Then, Jessi said it was not a bad idea because Antenna Music has rappers, concerts, singers, and actors in them. She said:

"I have two weeks left on my contract (with P Nation). I will go to the Antenna. Please accept it."

The fact that the appearance of the courtship was on the air was later talked about and attention was focused on them.

Jessi's Road To Stardom

Jessi debuted in Uptown replacing Yoon Mirae as their main singer in 2005. She did gain some fame because of her unique personality.

After a while, she was in different groups and also did solo projects. She gained fame after joining MNET's reality competition show for rappers "Unpretty Rapstar."

From then on, she has released hits after hits. The song "NUNU NANA" released in 2020 became a global hit and established himself as a star rapper.

Since then, she has been loved for her honest and bold charm through various TV and YouTube broadcasts, and has continued to grow in popularity, especially with the release of her single "ZOOM" in April.
