According to the latest Oricon Daily Single Chart (dated Aug. 30), the "Good Boy Gone Bad" album debuted at No. 2 with a total of 279,807 copies sold. This marks the first time that TXT sold over 200,000 copies on the first day with a Japanese album, meaning the boy group has broken their personal record for highest first-day sales on Oricon.

The record previously belonged to their first Japanese-language extended play "Chaotic Wonderland," which was released in November of last year. The EP sold 133,939 copies on Nov. 10, setting the second-highest first-day sales on the Oricon Album Chart for a K-pop group in 2021 (following BTS' "BTS, THE BEST").

On top of that, "Good Boy Gone Bad" now has the highest first-day sales among TOMORROW X TOGETHER's albums since their debut (both Korean and Japanese). Their previous best-selling album on the first day is their latest mini-album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child," which sold 134,746 copies on May 17.

Finally, TXT's "Good Boy Gone Bad" Japanese album is now eligible for a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). An album is only certified platinum in the country once it sold 250,000 units.

Congratulations to TXT on their successful Japanese comeback!
