NewJeans, the super rookie girl group that has swept South Korea by storm, has once again broken a record for fourth-generation K-pop groups. After being number one with their debut song on many charts, they are now number one in regards to THIS!

NewJeans Shoots to #1 With Highest Peak Monthly Spotify Listeners
NewJeans now have the highest peaks of monthly listeners on Spotify by K-Pop 4th gen groups with 8.61 million listeners.

With only 4 songs, the ADOR entertainment girl group has achieved almost nine million streams on Spotify global.
The number one spot was previously with another HYBE label group, ENHYPEN with a total of 8.53 million streams.
Before them, it was TXT, also an HYBE label boy group that has the highest peak of monthly listeners on Spotify 8.24 million.
Now the fourth place is JYP Entertainment boy group, Stray Kids with 7.57 million peak monthly listeners on Spotify.
In fifth place is another super rookie girl group, IVE, Starship Entertainment's newest gem. With only three single albums and a total of 6 songs, the peak monthly Spotify listeners have accumulated a total of 7.53 million.
Next to them is another group from JYP Entertainment, ITZY. They have more than 6.67 million Spotify listeners in a month.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment's boy group, TREASURE has a total of 6.65 for their highest monthly Spotify listeners.
Other 4th gen girl groups like Cube entertainment's (G)I-DLE and SM Entertainment's aespa are both in the top 10 with 6.57 million and 6.44 million peak monthly Spotify listeners respectively.
NewJeans Tops Expert Opinion About THIS
A number of significant music industry insiders were polled recently by Star News on the topic of "4th gen idols who are most predicted to perform well in the future."
The largest percentage of votes among 4th generation female idols went to NewJeans, who garnered 16 out of 18 votes (88.9%).

The 18 survey respondents chose a total of 4 teams (male and female) groups that made their debuts after 2020.
NewJeans and three other idol groups were chosen as the top candidates as a result. Each of their idols was left out of the choice to make it fair.
According to a representative of an idol agency who requested anonymity, NewJeans "is the group that best captures the innocent appeal of young ladies."
CEO of HighUp Entertainment said "I think it is a group that pursues popularity with emotions and freshness in the 2000s away from the same framework as a fandom-oriented idol. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of music color they will bring to the public in the future".
Kim Jinwoo CEO of RBW (Mamamoo and Purple Kiss Agency) said "Unlike other groups that have been actively pursuing strong and strong music recently, they pursue easy listening pop and express innocence and trendiness concept which stands out the most"
Other groups that got high votes were aespa with 9/18 votes (50%), ENHYPEN with 17/18 votes (94.4%), and TREASURE with 9/18 votes (50%).
