Red Velvet Wendy Dating Rumor: Why Was She Linked to MONSTA X Minhyuk?
Wendy debuted as a member of then four-member girl group Red Velvet back in August 2014. Following her debut, Wendy became known as one of the top idols among the third generation for Red Velvet's catchy tunes. With her idol status, Wendy has always been under the eyes of many, with plenty wanting to know more about her personal life, especially her romantic life as she was never involved in dating rumors since her debut.
However, the "Red Flavor" hitmaker became involved in a dating rumor with MONSTA X member Minhyuk! But why was she suddenly linked to him? Did they really date? Keep on reading to find out!
Red Velvet Wendy Dating Rumor With MONSTA X Minhyuk
Back in March of this year, netizens began questioning the relationship between Wendy and Minhyuk after infamous Youtuber Sojang hinted at the pair's romantic involvement with each other.
In November of 2021, members of MONSTA X had made a guest appearance on the radio program Wendy is hosting, SBS Radio's Young Street.

While their guest appearance on the show seemed normal most of the time, Sojang pointed out that Minhyuk had made several comments that may have indirectly revealed his romantic feelings for the Red Velvet member.
Some of the notable things he said to Wendy according to Sojang include, "I usually lie in bed while looking at my phone, but now I will listen to Wendy's radio show."

The atmosphere quickly became awkward as the others didn't know what to say. Wendy can even be seeing quickly drinking water and seemingly trying to think of what to respond. Minhyuk's fellow members Joohoney and Hyungwon quickly tried to save the situation by changing the topic.

Sojang then pointed out that throughout the broadcast, Minhyuk would look at Wendy with "loving eyes." In addition, Sojang notes that Minhyuk would usually be active and cheerful during broadcasts, but he seems to be a bit more tense on Wendy's show.
Another thing that was pointed out was Minhyuk scooting closer to Wendy during their group photo, while the other members were standing on Wendy's other side.

Following this, netizens expressed divided opinions on Wendy and Minhyuk's dating rumors. While some believe that Minhyuk has some feeling for Wendy, others believe that the hints were not enough to prove a romantic relationship between the two.
In addition, neither Wendy or Minhyuk's respective labels commented on the issue, leaving the dating rumor as simply a rumor.

As of now, Wendy is currently single and is not dating anyone publicly. In fact, the idol once revealed that she never dated anyone in the past. It is also worth noting that Wendy has never had a dating rumor with anyone until Minhyuk.
But Wendy did mention that she likes wants someone who is considerate, has good manners, and smiles a lot.
