Korean Media Outlet Names THESE 2 Female Idols As 'Fashion Icons of the Year'

Among Korean stars who showed off their incredible fashion styles this year, THESE two top female idols, along will Hallyu A-listers Song Hye Kyo, Lee Jung Jae and more, are named "Fashion Icons of the Year" by YTN Star.

On September 14, the Korean media outlet YTN Star selected six stars who are active as fashionistas in the first half of this year, in celebration of Chuseok.

These celebrities are said to showcase their unique fashion sense during live broadcasts and official events with different fashion items and are always ahead of the trend. Most of the time, they also steal the spotlight with their excellent ensembles.

Rosé's Fashion Style Stands Out Among BLACKPINK, According to K-Media Outlet

BLACKPINK is one of the groups who cement their status in the fashion industry, with members being global ambassadors of top luxury brands.

YTN Star, however, highlighted:

"But among them, Rosé's performance stands out this year. Rosé, who was selected as a global ambassador for French luxury brand Yves San Laurent in 2020 made her outfit stand out with her stylish, unique, and chic charm."

In September, the " On the Ground" singer was also named the global ambassador for Korean luxury brand Sulwhasoo, raising expectations of how she will promote the brand's trendy look among MZ Gen.

Currently, she's not only showing off her model-like figure, ant waist and visuals at official events, but Rosé also communicates with fans by sharing daily photos through her SNS.

One of her signature looks is her monochromatic dress highlighting her blonde hair.

Along with Rosé, the media outlet also selected IVE Jang Wonyoung. YTN said:

"I think this year is the era of Jang Wonyoung when people can't get enough to talk about Jang Wonyoung everywhere. With her high starliness and unrivaled fashion digestion, she has now become a representative icon of the MZ generation."

Even when she was just starting as IZ*ONE member, Jang Wonyoung immediately captured the attention of various local and foreign brands due to her tall height (168cm tall) even when she was only 16 at the time.

She drew more attention after growing taller and reaching 173cm now, showing off long legs and a slimmer figure.

One of the reasons the fashion scene is giving her attention as well was due to her "born an idol" qualities, wherein she knows how to capture her unique, chic and cute expressions just by looking at the camera.

The media outlet added:

"It is good to have an excellent fashion sense, but it is also a virtue as a 'style icon' to digest items well with superior physicality and talent. In this regard, Jang Wonyoung is a good icon of the best style."
