Lapillus Makes Comeback With Mini Album 'GIRL's ROUND Part. 1' and Lead Single 'GRATATA'
On September 22 at 6pm KST, rookie girl group Lapillus makes their first-ever comeback as they drop their first mini album on various music platforms.
"GIRL's ROUND Part. 1" is the six-member girl group's latest album, which came three months after Lapillus made their official debut back in June of this year with the single "HIT YA!"
The album reportedly contains the bold and ambitious aspirations of each of the six members as they fire for their dreams. "GIRL's ROUND Part. 1" contains a total of five songs: the double title tracks "GRATATA" and "Burn With Love," "Queendom," their past release "HIT YA!," as well as the instrumental version of "GRATATA."

For "GRATATA," the song is a dance pop track with an addictive chorus and upbeat moombahton rhythm that contains the message of "loading" and "launching" the dreams of the members. In particular, the title "GRATATA" is an onomatopoeia inspired by the sounds of a machine gun.
As for "Burn With Love," the lyrics compare love to a burning flame, and expresses its story with a simple guitar to a richer sound.

Lapillus Talks More About 'GIRL's ROUND Part. 1' Album
To commemorate the release of their new album, Lapillus held a comeback showcase on the same day.
Regarding the difference of "HIT YA!" and "GRATATA," Lapillus explained that their debut song showed their strong aspirations in the industry, while their latest single has a more festive feel to it.
When asked what their dreams are, member Chanty hoped to become a good role model for her fans. She said, "My personal dream is for us to become good role models to our fans. Although we are still young, we want to become role models while continuing to show our good side."

Member Bessie added that she hopes their debut at a young age would inspire other people to pursue their dreams. "We debuted at a young age. We achieved our dreams of becoming a singer, and we want to give hope to people of our age," Bessie said.
Lapillus was also asked about their charms given the fierce competition among fourth generation K-pop groups. To this, Lapillus explained that their strength is that each of the members' musical colors are distinct, which can help bring out the strengths in the other members.
As of now, the Lapillus' goal is to become a unique group, and hopefully show their individuality in the future.
