It was officially announced by Pocketdol Studio that their girl group DIA has disbanded. One of the members, Ki Huihyeon, has found her new agency and management label.
She has signed an exclusive contract with Hicon Entertainment after the contract expiration with Pocketdol Studio and leaving the company.

Many fans thought DIA has disbanded even though their contracts have not expired yet because of other members leaving and there were no new promotions or song releases prior to the contract expiration of the whole group.

According to Sports Seoul, Hicon Entertainment said that they discovered Ki Huihyeon's growth potential. They also shared that the former DIA member has infinite potential in acting.
They will spare no effort in providing full and active support so that Huihyeon's capabilities can fully blossom.
The Hicon CEO continued, "She plans to greet fans soon with a good project. We ask for your interest and support for Ki Huihyeon, who will now meet fans as an actress."
Ki Huihyeon's Idol Activities
Ki Huihyeon was formerly using her English name Cathy when she debuted with DIA. She went through so many obstacles and survival shows just to prove her talent and skills.
After debuting with DIA (Do It Amazing) in 2015, she, together with former IOI and DIA co-member, Jung Chaeyeon, joined MNET's first survival series "Produce 101". She got to the final episode but did not get to debut in the final lineup.
Her second survival show was "Unpretty Rapstar 3", with MNET again. She was eliminated in the beginning and did not reach the semi-finals.
After that, she also joined TvN's "V-1" which is a show for K-pop female vocalists. She did not get to the aired part of the show as she was not selected to be a contestant.
She also has a vast list of songs written and composed. Some of those are "Music Lover", "On The Road", "Flower, Wind, You", "April", "Blue Day", "Paradise", and "5 More Minutes".
Many of her fans are upset with MBK as she was put in the background together with the other members as the entertainment company focused on Jung Chaeyeon.

She was one of the more known members of DIA but was not promoted well. Further, DIA as a group just did not get the hype that they were going for after the Produce series. Many fans think that MBK mismanaged the team.
Meanwhile, she also did some acting while being an idol singer. She has appeared in web dramas "Love in Black Hole", "Fashionista", the movie "Love and Wish", and the play "Yeodo".
Before her debut, she was with Woollim Entertainment and was preparing to debut with Lovelyz. However, for some reason, she did not continue that and instead debuted with DIA under MBK Entertainment.
Ki Huihyeon Future Activities
Daum has reported that Hicon Entertainment is a management company specializing in actors. They are currently managing actresses and actors like Jung Jinyoung, Jung Yujin, Kang Youngjun, Seo Hangyeol, Oh Jinseok, Lim Seonggyun, Han Garam, Song Donghwan, and Kim Rin.
